What is Fair Trade?

Fair Trade is a commercial partnership based on dialogue, transparency and respect that seeks greater equity in international trade. All actors in the production chain are involved. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trade conditions and securing the rights of producers.

Raymisa is a fair trade company certified by the World Fair Trade Organization and works with a network of studios in Peru that produce clothes, ceramics and furniture. Our relationship with producers is always long-term. We want to help artisans with developing their skills. Our goal is to increase the number of jobs and offer a higher salary to all employees and partners of Raymisa.

World Fair Trade Organization

This world-wide organization has more than 450 members committed to fair trade. It operates in 75 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. The production chain that is checked by the organization comprises the different actors from the early stages of production to the final sale.

The aim of the World Fair Trade Organization is to improve the living standards of disadvantaged producers through fair trade practices of its members.
